The Richmond Bluebirds were an old school baseball team founded in 1895, playing in the Virginia League at the Class B level. Representing Richmond, Virginia, they were part of the league’s push to establish professional baseball in the region. The team disbanded after the 1896 season, having briefly contributed to the rise of organized baseball in the South.
